About BORDERLESS

When the lines are blurred and cause revolutionary change, then the spirit and creativity will collide and create a new power. When culture, territory, time and language all transform into artistic expression, “BORDERLESS” becomes a symbol of acceptance and conflict as well as struggle and harmony.

The BORDERLESS Contemporary Art Group Exhibition is the non-profit art exhibition that towards to communicate art, culture, creativity between Chinese artists and bay area local artists.

The BORDERLESS will represent all medias contemporary artworks that including painting, installation art, experimental film, sculpture and etc.

The venue of BORDERLESS is 1515 Claremont Art studio, where is located in San Mateo, California.

FEATURED ARTIST

Pan Deng

Mr. Pan Deng was born in the 1960s, China, he completely lived through Chinese culture revolution. His art aspect and inspiration is come from his special life experience that towards 1960s to now days China. His art style is expressive figurative art, and the he does both of painting and mixed media art.

关于《无边界》

当界限模糊并且产生变革的时候，便是精神力与创造力的火花燃烧的时候。当文化，地域，年代，语言等界限统统转化为艺术语言并列传达的时候，“没有边界”便成为了一种融合与冲突，对抗与和谐的象征。

无边界—当代艺术展，是由旅居美国的华人艺术家与美国旧金山湾区艺术家联合举办的非营利性学术交流展。展览内容包括油画，雕塑，装置，影像等各类当代艺术形式作品。

关于参展艺术家

三位美国旧金山湾区艺术家与八位旅居和移民美国的华人艺术家，年龄跨度从60后到90后，东方与西方不同的生活经历，多元化的艺术表现形式，旅居和故土，融入和抗拒, 这种种的一切如同一根绳上的几个结，让他们以当代艺术的几种表现形式自由的解开绳上的每个结。沿着这条绳这条线索，我们可追寻到旅居海外的中国艺术家相似的心路历程，和绳索外没有边界的艺术探索新大陆。

参展艺术家

潘登

60年代出生的潘登，看上去严肃而沉默寡言。但是当你跨进他的工作室和观看他的作品时，你会对他这个人的表面产生质疑；他的作品属于比较典型的“表现主义”+“玩世现实主义”。虽然总有一种黑色幽默萦绕在画面里，但我们可以感受到他对艺术的绝对真诚。透过对事物精神本质的揭示，构建了震撼心灵的画面语言，引起观者一连串对人类自身的反省。他的图像不是真实意义上的写实和再现，在这些图像中充满了艺术家的个人思想和情感，以及绘画语言的追求与想象。并且对于动物情感的表现，提升到人性的高度。以及显而易见的这些华丽表面的反面；堕落，颓败和残酷。因为出生成长于中国的60年代，他完整地经历过中国那场可怕的文化大革命，如今又遇到一个截然不同的物质世界，拜金，虚荣，没有信仰，没有底线。世界如此变幻莫测，他用画布和狂放的笔触揭示着这一切，调侃着这一切，对他来说，的确可以用那句话：这是一个最好的时代，也是一个最坏的时代。
